1. LAKE NAKURU - NAIVASHA - MASAI MARA: |

Day 1 Nairobi - Nakuru - NaivashaShortly after leaving Nairobi the vast panorama of the Great Rift Valley unfolds below you and there are splendid stopping places from which to photograph this entrancing spectacle. Cross the Valley floor to reach L. Nakuru National Park, world renowned for its spectacle of millions of flamingo. The Park is rich in other bird life and there are a surprising number of animals in this small and beautiful park. The night is spent at either a lodge or camp in L. Nakuru Park or at a hotel in L. Naivasha. Day 2 Naivasha - Masai MaraThere is a chance to view the beauty of L. Naivasha with its varied bird life, before driving across the plains to reach the Masai Mara National Reserve in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing will doubtlessly offer the sight of the huge black-manned lions for which the Mara is justly famous. Then you can stay overnight at a lodge in or near the Reserve. Day 3 Masai MaraThe day is spent watching and photographing game in this finest of Kenya's game sanctuaries. Day 4 Masai Mara - Nairobi After breakfast return to Nairobi which is reached by lunchtime. |

2. TREE HOTEL - SAMBURU - NAIVASHA: |

Day 1 Nairobi - Tree HotelDrive northwards through the farmlands of the Kikuyu people to reach Mt. Kenya and the small town of Nyeri in time for lunch. In the early afternoon drive through the forest to your tree hotel where the night is spent above the floodlit waterhole and salt lick. Frequent visitors are elephants, rhino, buffalo and giant forest hog. Then you can stay spend the night at your tree hotel. Day 2 Tree Hotel - SamburuAfter breakfast pass Mt. Kenya and descend into the dry and rugged semi-desert where Samburu National Reserve is situated. Harsh but beautiful, this reserve harbors many species of animals not found in the more lush parks to the south. Enjoy an afternoon game drive and later dinner at a lodge or camp in Reserve. Day 3 Samburu National ReserveThe day is spent exploring this reserve. You will almost certainly see the graceful reticulated giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, elephant and Oryx - perhaps the origin of the legend of the unicorn. Overnight at your camp or lodge. Day 4 Samburu - Lake Nakuru - Lake NaivashaAfter breakfast drive to L. Nakuru stopping en route for a brief look at the magnificent Thomson's Falls where the waters of the Ngare Naru cascade in a sheer drop of 73 meters. Have Lunch at Nakuru before visiting the world famous bird sanctuary and National Park. There is also much game to be seen before spending the night at a lodge or camp in the Park or before driving on to spend the night at a hotel at Lake Naivasha. Day 5 Lake Naivasha - NairobiAfter breakfast a relaxing look at the beautiful Lake Naivasha richly endowed with birds (there are over 460 species) before returning to Nairobi which is reached by lunchtime. |

3. AMBOSELI - TSAVO - NAIVASHA - MASAI MARA: |

Day 1 Nairobi - Amboseli National ParkDrive through Masai land to Amboseli National Park which nestles at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain. Lunch in the Park followed by a game drive in this most photogenic of parks. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at a lodge or camp in or near the Park. Day 2 Amboseli - TsavoAfter an early morning game drive leave Amboseli for Tsavo West National Park. The route follows the base of the Chyulu Hills and crosses a great lava flow which is evidence to Mt. Kilimanjaro volcanic past. Lunch and an afternoon game drive in the Park. A visit is made to Mzima Springs where from an underwater observation tank it is possible to see submerged hippo walking the floor of the springs. Enjoy Dinner and stay overnight at a lodge in or near the Park. Day 3 Tsavo - NaivashaAfter breakfast leave for Lake Naivasha which lies among extinct volcanoes on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The Lake is a bird watcher's paradise. Enjoy Dinner and stay overnight at a lakeside hotel. Day 4 Naivasha - Masai MaraDrive across the Masai plains to reach the renowned Masai Mara in time for lunch. An afternoon game driving introduces you to the bewildering herds and the numerous predators which have made the Reserve so famous. Enjoy Dinner and stay overnight at lodge or camp in or near the Reserve. Day 5 Masai Mara National ReserveA full day of game viewing when it should be possible to see all the Big Five as well as a variety of lesser known species. Enjoy Dinner and stay overnight in the Reserve. Day 6 Masai Mara - NairobiAfter breakfast depart from the Reserve and re-cross the Rift Valley to reach Nairobi by lunchtime |
